The GSM Science-Maths Olympiad (GSMO) is a prestigious international competition that invites students from various schools and countries to showcase their scientific and mathematical abilities. The GSM Science-Maths Olympiad (GSMO) organizes Science Olympiad, which is one of the most effective and comprehensive Olympiads that fosters the development of aspiring scientists. The GSM Science-Maths Olympiad (GSMO) team consists of experts from different fields of science who have designed the exam questions based on applied science. The exam covers various topics of physics, chemistry, biology,and math’s  and aims to enrich the existing knowledge of students. This exam has two levels.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN SCIENCE-MATH OLYMPIAD EXAM-SECONDARY SECTION


Registration of Students: The GSM Science-Math Olympiad (GSMO) welcomes students from classes one to ten who are interested in science and mathematics. A prospectus with the registration forms is sent to all schools that are registered with GSM EDUCATION. Unregistered schools can also request a prospectus by contacting us at info@GSM.COM or by phone. Schools should submit the completed registration forms to GSM EDUCATION by the deadline.

Roll Numbers: The school's coordinating teacher is responsible for filling out the School Registration Form (SRF) and the Students' Registration Sheet (SRS) according to the instructions provided and sending them to the GSM's office before the due date. GSM will assign roll numbers to all the students based on the Students' Registration Sheet (SRS). GSM will also send the question papers and guidelines for conducting the examination to the registered schools. Principals and teachers should note that any school can become a registered examination centre for GSM Science-Math Olympiad (GSMO) without paying any fee.

The GSM Science-Math Olympiad (GSMO) is held on two dates. Schools can choose a date that suits their convenience for conducting the GSM Science-Math Olympiad (GSMO). Each date has a different question paper. Schools cannot change the date of the examination once they have selected it.

Students must register through their respective schools only. We do not accept individual registrations by students.

SCIENCE-MATH OLYMPIAD SYLLABUS -SECONDARY SECTION

The GSM Olympiad is a competitive exam that tests the students' knowledge and skills in science and math. The exam is based on the school curriculum and covers topics that are relevant and useful for the students. The exam also provides extra practice and preparation for the school tests. The GSM Olympiad aims to make learning fun and engaging for the students by teaching them scientific concepts in a practical way. The exam is open for students from class 1 to class 10, and the syllabus is designed according to the level of difficulty and complexity of each class. The syllabus for class 1 covers basic topics such as plants, animals, good habits, earth, sky, transport, etc. The syllabus for higher classes introduces more advanced topics and challenges the students to apply their knowledge and reasoning skills. The teachers recommend that students participate in the GSM Olympiad from an early age, as it helps them to develop a strong foundation and confidence in science and math. The Olympiad also gives them an edge over their peers in the school exams, as they gain more knowledge and exposure through the Olympiad. Students of class 1 to 10 who are interested in participating in the Olympiad Exam for 2023-24 can now submit their names through the school. The Olympiad Exam is a prestigious and competitive test that evaluates the students' skills and knowledge in various subjects. OLYMPIAD EXAM PATTERN -SECONDARY SECTION

To prepare for the exam, you should familiarize yourself with the exam pattern in advance. The exam pattern gives you an overview of the topics, questions, and marks distribution that you can expect in the exam. By knowing the exam pattern, you can focus your study efforts on the relevant subject matter and avoid wasting time on unnecessary details.

WHAT TYPE OF QUESTIONS ARE ASKED IN OLYMPIAD - SECONDARY SECTION

The Olympiad Exam follows a consistent pattern for all the subjects except Drawing and Essay. The question paper consists of various types of questions such as problem-based figures, series completion, odd one out, coding-decoding, mirror images, embedded figures, symmetry, and alphabetical test questions. The difficulty level of the question paper depends on the class of the student. The questions are designed to assess the student's knowledge, ability, and reasoning capacity. The syllabus of the Olympiad Exam is based on the updated and prescribed syllabus of school boards like CBSE, ICSE, State Board and International Board. 

FORMAT OF OLYMPIAD EXAM -SECONDARY SECTION 

The Olympiad Exam questions are designed to assess the students' proficiency in various subjects from class 1 to class 10. The questions are categorized into three sections, each with a different focus and level of difficulty. The first section is Subjective, where the students have to write short answers or essays on the given topics. The second section is Logical Reasoning, where the students have to solve puzzles, riddles, or problems that test their analytical and critical thinking skills. The third section is High Order Thinking Section (HOTs), where the students have to apply their knowledge and understanding to complex and challenging scenarios. This section requires creativity, innovation, and synthesis of information. The format of the three sections is consistent for Science, Maths, English, General Knowledge, Computer and Social Studies exam. 

HOW MANY QUESTIONS ARE THERE IN OLYMPIAD -SECONDARY SECTION

The exam pattern varies according to the class level of the students. For students of class 1 to 4, the exam consists of 35 questions, divided into three sections: subjective questions (20), logical reasoning questions (10) and high order thinking questions (5). Each question carries one mark. For students of class 5 to 10, the exam has 50 questions, also divided into three sections: subjective questions (35), logical reasoning questions (10) and high order thinking questions (5). Each question carries one mark as well.
